WHAT IS A NEUROMODULATOR?
THE SKINNY ON THE SHOTS
At their most basic, neuromodulators are a serum that temporarily stops wrinkle-causing muscles from working. We all have an array of muscles under the skin of our foreheads, around our eyes, and underneath our lips. And when we use these muscles every day for years to smile, laugh, or even look confused, wrinkles inevitably get left behind.
Botox, Dysport and Xeomin work by inhibiting some of these muscles from contracting and making wrinkles worse. When it’s applied by a skilled expert (like ours), only the wrinkle-forming muscles are paralyzed — not the ones that allow you to express yourself fully. Neuromodulators on the market, like Dysport and Xeomin, work the same way other neuromodulators do but have key differences that may make them a better fit for some people’s lifestyles.
