Reduce Age Spots & Sun Damage

What is Moxi

Moxi is Sciton’s newest fractionated laser for revitalized skin. In a quick 8-10 minute treatment with minimal downtime and discomfort, Moxi reduces pigment and improves the skin’s overall texture. The treatment is perfect if you’re looking to correct the appearance of sun damage and aging.

What Can Moxi Do For Me?

Through it’s use of a gentle, non-ablative, fractionated wavelength, Moxi corrects pigmentation issues and improves the appearance of your skin’s tone and texture. Moxi was specifically designed as a preventative skincare treatment to correct the initial signs of sun damage and the appearance of aging skin without downtime. Your provider can combine Moxi with other treatments, such as BBL HERO, for more powerful, visible results.

Your practitioner will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan to meet your skincare goals. Typically, they will recommend the number of treatments, discuss the timing necessary to achieve your goals, and provide pre and post- treatment instructions. Photos are usually taken before treatment and post-healing.

Your Moxi Procedure

Depending on the goals you’ve discussed with your provider, a topical numbing cream may be applied to your skin 30-45 minutes before your Moxi treatment. During treatment, some practitioners may use cold air. This combination will help keep you comfortable. As the provider glides the Moxi laser across the skin, you may feel a slight-warming sensation, which means the laser is doing it’s job. Moxi creates micro-coagulation zones in the skin-the body naturally repairs these zones and replaces damaged cells with healthy, vibrant skin.

The day following Moxi, your skin may appear red, and depending on your level of treatment, you may see the small micro dots called “mends” where the laser was applied. As the microzones heal, they will darken and feel rough. Between days 3 and 5, the mends will slough off, revealing new skin beneath.

Your post-care regimen is simple: Stay out of the sun until skin completely heals and all mends are gone. You may wear makeup 24 hours after treatment. Wash your skin morning and night with a gentle cleanser. Keep your skin moisturized and apply your favorite physical barrier sunscreen .
